Yellow Line Character concept art

Hello everyone! Last year I was hired by the awesome folks at KLOMP! Animation studio to do some visual design for their film in development, named “Yellow Line”. It was a blast to work on! It’s going to be a great story packing some real emotional twists and turns.

Here’s a small selection of the designs I did for the project, mainly focusing on character design. As you can see, the early focus of the project was designing the parents of main protagonist Boris, namely his father Izet and his mother Tanja. They play a critical part in the story, so they required extra care and attention. Also featured is an early background test. The main goal here was to look for a possible visual direction for the overall look of the film.
